POSITION OVERVIEW

As an Infrastructure Lead, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the technological backbone of the organisation.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the stability, efficiency, and security of the company's technology infrastructure. You will lead a team of skilled professionals, collaborate with various departments, and implement best practices to support the organisation's overall objectives.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Infrastructure Management:

• Develop and execute strategies for the organisation's technology infrastructure.

• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of hardware, software, networks, and cloud-based solutions.

• Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of infrastructure components.

Team Leadership:

• Lead and mentor a team of infrastructure professionals.

• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.

• Set clear expectations, provide guidance, and conduct performance evaluations.

Project Management:

• Plan and execute infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure projects with business objectives.

Security and Compliance:

• Implement and enforce security policies and practices to safeguard company assets and sensitive information.

• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging threats to proactively address security concerns.

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Troubleshooting and Incident Response:

• Lead efforts to diagnose and resolve infrastructure-related issues.

• Develop and implement incident response plans to minimise downtime and mitigate risks.

Vendor Management:

• Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to ensure seamless integration of services.

• Negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships, and evaluate third-party solutions.

Capacity Planning and Performance Optimisation:

• Conduct regular assessments of infrastructure capacity and performance.

• Plan for scalability and optimise existing resources to meet current and future business needs.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.

• Stay informed about technological advancements and recommend relevant upgrades or enhancements.

General

• Demonstrate values and attitudes that promote healthy and safe behaviours.

• Take ownership of assigned issues and manage incidents/requests through to resolution.

• Ensure strict adherence to all policies and procedures for both self and the group.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE


• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.

• Proven experience in infrastructure management and team leadership.

• In-depth knowledge of network architecture, cloud services, and security best practices.

• Strong project management skills with a focus on delivering results.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Certifications such as ITIL, CISSP, or relevant vendor-specific certifications are a plus

• Analytical skills, with strong attention to detail.

• Experience managing multiple tasks and delivering results in an agile environment.

• Outcome and solutions focused.

• A comprehensive understanding of ITS and support service best practice methodology, such as ITIL and application to hardware & applications; monitoring and logging of supported services to ensure SLA compliance.

• Understanding and working knowledge of AWS

• Windows Server Administration (2012, 2016, 2019, 2022)

• Linux Server Administration

• Experience with backup and anti-virus systems

• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Postgres

• Configuration & installation of Apache Tomcat servers

• Familiarity with SSL certificate provisioning & installation

• Experience configuring reverse proxies & cache servers such as Squid or Nginx

• Understanding of networking technologies and principles (Switching, routing, firewalls, VPN’s etc)

• Understanding of relevant industry protocols (HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/UDP, RS232, etc)

• Understanding of audio visual and digital media devices, protocols, and formats (LCD, LED, HDMI, VGA, DVI, h.264, etc)


This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth within PMY's digital signage, display, creative content, and experiential company, TechMedia. The role will be based in the Caringbah office in Sydney with the option to work some days from home.
