The Summer of Tennis is an annual event held across Australia that holds a significant place in the sporting calendar of tennis, attracting top-ranked players, passionate fans, and extensive media coverage from around the globe.

While the schedule for the Summer of Tennis varies from year to year, the Australian Open is a permanent fixture and is recognized as one of the most prestigious events in the world of professional tennis, being one of the four Grand Slams. Leading up to the Australian Open, multiple tournaments take place in major cities, including Sydney, Adelaide, and Brisbane, throughout December and early January.

To successfully produce and operate such a high-profile and widely followed event, it is crucial to have robust and reliable connectivity and network infrastructure. Consideration must be given to the diverse requirements of numerous stakeholders, as they often support mission-critical functions.

During the Australian Open Tournaments of 2021 - 2024, PMY has been selected by Tennis Australia to ensure that the network and IT systems are ready for the event. PMY managed stakeholder consultations, coordinated requirements, and ultimately delivered connectivity across the Summer of Tennis.

In the summer of 2022/23, PMY expanded its support to successfully manage six events concurrently across Australia over a three-month period. These events included the Hobart International, Adelaide International, the United Cup (played across Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth), and finally, the Australian Open.
